Nudge Village (http://www.nudgevillage.com) is a site that I set up over Thanksgiving week 2010. However, that is the date the site and site name were selected. The idea for creating a gathering place for entrepreneurs that I know is something that I've wanted to do for over a year.
I know a lot of people out of work. Talented people. Smart people. Some of them have pursued their passion as a result. Some are still trying to figure out what their passion is and if they'd want to pursue that more than a full-time job. For those that have started to pursue their ideas, it's been a struggle to get effective publicity through on and offline marketing.
Hopefully my site can help. It will highlight different types of "linchpins" all the time. We'll come back and re-visit them to find out lessons learned and to experience the ups and downs of their pursuit.
Along the way, hopefully we'll grow close and help each other rise further than we could have without the social network. Plus, why not have each "villager" leverage their social network to promote other people in the village?
This blog will document my journey so that I have lessons learned along the way. After all, I've got a few other ideas in my head that I'd like to pursue. For now, I'll keep working my government job. (Yes, I do work hard and hopefully smart)
Perhaps you'll learn from my personal journey and forgo some of the errors that are sure to abound in traversing uncharted territories.
